2011
Oct. The Month of Compliance Promotion.
As the Month of Compliance Promotion started, the Chairman of the Toyo Seikan Group Compliance Promotion Committee delivered his message to all Toyo Seikan Group companies. Educational activities for compliance promotion were conducted.
Chairman of the Compliance Promotion Committee started to visit all the plants.
All employees signed the "Written oath of compliance of ethic and regulation".
Toyo Seikan Group Compliance Workshop entitled "The Great East Japan Earthquake tells us essence of risk management" was held.

May. A project team was set up for restoration and reconstruction of the Sendai Plant which was damaged by Tsunami.
Apr. A compliance workshop for new employees was held.
Mar. Workshop for Toyo Seikan Group companies regarding the “Act against Delay in Payment of Subcontract Proceeds, Etc. to Subcontractors” was held in Tokyo.
Headquarters for disaster control was established to cope with emergency situation caused by Tohoku Region Pacific Coast Earthquake occurred in March 11. The headquarters’ activities were to grasp the disaster situation, to confirm the safety of personnel, to support the disaster victims and so on.
The seventh Toyo Seikan Group Compliance Promotion Committee meeting and the sixth Toyo Seikan Integrated Risk Management Committee meeting were postponed so as to place the first priority on the disaster.
Feb. The Toyo Seikan Compliance Promotion Committee meeting was held. Activities in a past year and the activity plan in the coming year were reviewed in the meeting.
2010
Dec. Toyo Seikan Group Compliance Activity Management Committee meeting was held.

The Management Rules for Contracts with Customers was established and contents of which were explained to the members of the Toyo Seikan Compliance Promotion Committee and the managers.
Jan. The Thai version of "Corporate Action Standard" was distributed to the Thai subsidiaries and displayed in the offices.
2009

Two Sections handling domestic legal affairs and overseas legal affairs separately were unified as a legal department. (The legal department and personnel department are office of the Compliance Promotion Committee)
Sep. "Regulation on Compliance Promotion Committee" was established. (Effective from the 1st of October)
"Operation Rule of Compliance Counseling Counter" and "Risk Management Regulation" was amended. (Effective from the 1st of October)
Aug. Lecture entitled "Labor problems in a time of recession" was held. (Toyo Seikan Group companies participated in the lecture)
Jul. Workshop for newly appointed directors of the Toyo Seikan Group was held.
Jun. Compliance and Self-Check card (revised version) was distributed to directors and employees.
Revised version of the "Q&A for Insider Trading Regulation" published by Tokyo Stock Exchange Regulation was distributed to managers.
All the executives of Toyo Seikan's subsidiary companies signed on the "Written oath of compliance of ethic and regulation".
Apr. The crisis-management task force was set up after the level of influenza pandemic alert was raised from phase 3 to phase 4.
The Information Management Committee meeting was held.
Mar. The fifth Toyo Seikan Group Compliance Promotion Committee meeting was held.
The third Toyo Seikan Integrated Risk Management Committee meeting was held.
Feb. In order to facilitate the establishment of an Information Management System, Toyo Seikan enacted an Information Management Regulation, revised the current Personal Information Protection Regulation, and organized an Information Management Committee to oversee proper management policies. (The system began operation on the 1st day of April)
2008
Nov. Toyo Seikan Group Compliance Activity Management Committee meeting was held.
Briefing as to the details of "Corporate Ethic Hotline" and "Sexual Harassment and Interpersonal Problem Hotline" was held.
Oct. Educational activities for "The Month of Compliance Promotion" were conducted in each of the Toyo Seikan Group companies.

A Toyo Seikan Group Compliance Workshop entitled "The role of executives as seen from the perspective of the CSR management~CSR changes the company" was held.
One of the internal regulations was revised prior to the implementation of the citizen judge system in Japan.

Jul. A questionnaire on "Status of Progress of Compliance-consciousness" was circulated among the employees to investigate compliance-consciousness.

Jan. The mental health workshop was held for the managers of the Administration Section and for the nurses in all the places of business.
2007
Dec. An internal audit for the Toyo Seikan Group companies was conducted concerning the establishment and implementation of the internal control system under company law.
Nov. A meeting was held for Toyo Seikan Group companies to explain "the resolution of the Board of Directors regarding establishment of internal control systems under company law".
A Toyo Seikan Group Compliance Activity Management Committee meeting was held.
A practical workshop was held for persons of Toyo Seikan Group companies in charge of the Compliance Counseling Counter.
Oct. Educational activities for "The Month of Compliance Promotion" were conducted at each Toyo Seikan Group company.
The Chairman of Compliance Promotion began his visit to all the plants. (The visit was completed in November)
General Managers, Plant Managers and Managers signed the "Written oath of compliance of ethic and regulation".
Aug. A seminar on "Insider Trading Regulation" was held for the management of Toyo Seikan Group companies.

The company regulation relating to the Sexual Harassment was amended in accordance with the revision of the Equal Employment Opportunity Law.
Feb. The third Toyo Seikan Group Compliance Promotion Committee meeting was held.
A Toyo Seikan Group Compliance Workshop on "Fundamental Philosophy of Internal Control for Directors" was held.
Confirmation of the establishment and implementation of the internal control system under company law for Toyo Seikan Group companies was conducted.
2006

A Toyo Seikan Group Compliance Workshop on "Sexual Harassment in Workplace" was held.
Oct. "Q&A for Insider Trading Regulation" published by Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc. was distributed to Toyo Seikan Group companies.
Sep. A lecture entitled "Compliance in China and Southeast Asia" was held. (6 companies of the TSK Group participated)
Aug. A "Mental Health Seminar" was held for the Head Office employees, and that same seminar was then subsequently held for Plant employees.
Jul. A workshop for newly appointed directors of Toyo Seikan Group was held.
Jun. The revised "Written oath of compliance of ethic and regulation" was signed by all the executives of the Toyo Seikan Group.
May. A questionnaire on the "status of progress of compliance-consciousness" was circulated among the employees to investigate compliance-consciousness. An Activity Management Committee was held.
Apr. An "Operation Rule of Compliance Counseling Counter" was established following the enforcement of law on safeguards for those who disclose information in the public interest.
Mar. A Toyo Seikan Group Compliance Activity Management Committee meeting was held.

Aug. Posters of Sexual Harassment Hot Line were displayed in the Head Office and in all the plants.

Jun. All the executives of Toyo Seikan signed the "Written oath of compliance of ethic and regulation".
Apr. Toyo Seikan established a system to protect personal information by creating "Protection rules of Personal Information" and "Implementation Standards for Protection of Personal Information", and organizing a "Protection Committee for Personal Information".
Feb. The "Compliance Promotion Committee of the Toyo Seikan Group", which consists of the major twenty three companies of the Toyo Seikan Group, was formed.
Jan. Each Toyo Seikan Group company established its own "Corporate Action Standard" and began to utilize the "Corporate Ethic Hotline of Toyo Seikan Group".
2004
Nov. Each Toyo Seikan Group company started to utilize the Sexual Harassment Hotline.
Aug. The Compliance card, which shows self-check items and carries information on how to take access to counseling services, was distributed to directors and employees.
The Toyo Seikan Group Corporate Ethic Hotline (internal counsel) and Sexual Harassment Hotline (outside counsel) was set and put into operation.
Jul. Under the chairman of the Compliance Promotion Committee, the Toyo Seikan Compliance Promotion Committee was formed and put into operation.
A leaflet on the "Corporate Action Standard" was distributed to directors and employees.
2003
Dec. To precede the establishment of compliance promotion system, the Preparation Committee for Compliance Promotion was formed.
