Decoration (Printing, Coating)
Achieved a high design reproduction quality level, which has previously been difficult with the conventional plastic letterpress printing for 2 piece cans. More halftone dots provide a finer resolution achieving near photograph-like artwork, and finer gradation and letters. This technology is applicable to TULC, aTULC and DWI cans.

Cross-Sectional View of Waterless Lithographic Printing
On a waterless lithographic plate, in non-image areas ink is repelled from the silicon layer but in image areas ink remains in the concave sections of the plate. Compared with plastic letterpress plates, smaller halftone dots can be achieved, thus allowing for finer design reproduction.
