Fine convexo-concave pattern can be applied on the print surface by using foaming inks to add a touch of effervescence.
This printing method has a tactile appeal in addition to a visual appeal to express tranquil comfort.
It is widely applicable to TULC, aTULC, DWI cans and welded cans
- Thermally expandable microcapsules (thermoplastics) containing volatile solvent are mixed in with standard inks.
- The microcapsules expand massively with the evaporation of solvent in the baking over to create foamed texture.
The solvent diffuses through the microcapsule membrane.
