The Toyo Seikan Group has formulated a compliance framework for the entire group, and in order to clarify how its members should act within the framework, it has established the Toyo Seikan Group Code of Conduct and Guidelines of Behavior. Under the Group’s standards, we have formulated our own compliance policy to provide specific guidelines for our operation.

• As a leading packaging company, we have a duty to use our long-accumulated experience and know-how and proprietary technologies for providing a better way of living for people all over the world.
• In addition to demonstrating our high standard of quality and supply ability in the market, we will continue to pursue the development of a wide range of technologies to create new demand for packaging, thereby weathering the dramatically changing environment all together.
• Recently, both in Japan and abroad, the frequent occurrence of problems that threaten food safety has intensified public interest in safe products and services, as consumers are taking a stricter attitude towards the safety issues. The government is also adopting a tougher stance on corporations, further focusing on consumer protection.
• Meanwhile, the needs of consumers and customers have been diversifying and advancing as people’s values have been diversifying with a change in social structure, including a further declining birthrate and aging population and an increase in part time employment. We, as a corporation, are facing stronger requirements to fulfill the varied needs than ever before.
