OXYGUARD®

Principle and typical structure of Oxyguard

Film with oxygen scavenging property is laminated on the inner side of the barrier film to absorb residual oxygen trapped inside the container.
As there is no need to insert deoxidant, Oxyguard can simplify the procurement of packaging materials.

  1. Residual oxygen trapped inside the container is absorbed by the oxygen scavenging layer.
  2. Oxygen penetrating from outside is blocked by the barrier layer and surviving incoming oxygen is absorbed by the oxygen scavenging layer.

◎ The activation of absorption requires water and starts when the humidity inside the container reaches around 70%.
◎ Absorption is accelerated by the heat from retort sterilization.
*It is recommended to remove oxygen from the container headspace as much as possible before sealing, as the oxygen absorption from Oxyguard is slower as compared to deoxidant.

MOISTURE GUARD®

Basic structure of Moistureguard

  1. Residual moisture inside the package is absorbed by the desiccant layer.
  2. Moisture penetrating from the outside is blocked by the aluminum foil.
Features of Moistureguard
  • A special plastic film with moisture absorbing function
  • No need to insert desiccant (preventing misuse by consumers, simplifying packaging processes).
  • Absorbs moisture even at low temperature
  • Speedy absorption
  • Sustained absorption
  • Desiccant layer does not make direct contact with the contents.
  • Applications in the forms of pillow, stick, gusset bag, etc.
Cautions

There are some conditions required to effectively absorb moisture.

  • It should be used before12 months after manufacture and before 10 hours after opening the package.

Features of OXYDEC
  • A plastic film with a layer of our proprietary oxygen scavenger on the inner side of the barrier layer.
  • This oxygen scavenging layer blocks oxygen penetrating from outside and absorbs residual oxygen trapped inside to retain the quality of oxygen sensitive products for a long time.
