Manufacturing process of DR can
- DR can is a 2-piece can made from pre-coated and pre-printed metal sheet which is drawn into the cup shape with the punch and die.
- In addition to round cans, cans in other shapes (rectangular, oval, conical, etc.) can easily be manufactured. There are two types of can forming process, single drawing and double drawing. The double drawing type is sometimes distinctively called DRD can (Draw and Redraw can), whose height can be higher than that of single drawn cans.
- While its bottom can also be printed, printing for the DR can needs a special method. As the can height becomes higher, the can surface is vertically stretched and compressed in the circumferential direction, thereby distorting the printed graphics. To compensate for this distortion, distortion printing (reverse-distortion to restore the original graphics) is required.

Coating process
*At least once each on both the internal and external surfaces
- Sheet feeder
- Feed sheets from sheet stack.
- Coater
- Apply coatings on the sheet.

- Dry and bake coatings at high temperature.
- Sheet piler
- Stack the sheets coming out of the oven.
Printing process
*The process is repeated according to the number of colors (coating is applied once in the final round of the process).
- Sheet feeder
- Feed coated sheets from sheet stack.
- Printer
- There are two printers, transferring ink to each sheet for printing.

- Coat clear varnish on the surface.

- Dry and bake coatings at high temperature.

- Turn wheel
- Turn over the sheets for the downstream process.
- Sheet piler
- Stack the sheets coming out of the oven.
Can making process
- Sheet feeder
- Feed printed sheets from sheet stack.
- Press
- Press the sheet into cup shape.
- Beader
- Apply a stack bead on the can body.
- Palletizer
- Pile up cans on pallets.
