Functional Bottle: Barrier Bottle
OXYBLOCK: Oxygen scavenging PET bottle
- OXYBLOCK was developed to protect the contents from oxygen with the three layer structure of PET/Barrier/PET layers.
- Our proprietary oxygen scavenger (SIRIUS), which has a superior food preservation property, is used as the barrier material.
- This bottle is recyclable in the same way as conventional PET bottles.
SiBARD: Silicon oxide (SiOx) coated PET bottle
SiBARD is a PET bottle coated with two layers of thin film. A layer of highly flexible and adhesive organic silicon film is coated inside the bottle, over which another layer of silicon oxide (SiOx) film with superior oxygen barrier property is coated.
This two-layer structure is our proprietary technology. In addition to the superior gas barrier property, the bottle has a high flavor retention property. As it has no color and is transparent, the bottle is recyclable and hygienic.
This technology features the use of silicon oxide, which effectively blocks out gases such as oxygen, vapor and carbon dioxide that adversely affect food quality.
While it is mainly used for oxygen sensitive food products such as edible oil, it can also be applied to beverages as a pressure resistant PET bottle.
